I have added my video demo to the Professional 3D section.  It can be downloaded by right-clicking on the image and selecting 'Save As.'  I'm hoping to begin adding some more work to the Personal section soon and I still have some high-res images from my work at the engineering firm to add to the Professional section once I finish sorting through them.

I've added a couple of images from the Brewhouse project to the professional page.  The building looks good.  I'm especially pleased with how clear it is printed out at 11 x 17.  Usually people keep images small to hide bad artifacts or lack of detail, but I'd personally rather post the larger ones if they weren't so huge.  Despite advice about keeping my portfolio style specific, I've been keeping busy working on some character modeling which I hope to post up in the next week or two.  I'm trying to familiarize myself with ZBrush and am still overwhelmed by the user interface, but excited about the results that I've acheived so far.  That's all for now, I'll let you guys know the next time something worthwhile comes up.

I took the opportunity to add some call center new screens hot off the render farm to my professional work section.  I've been excited that I've had the chance to work with architectural interiors again.  I'm even more thrilled that I wasn't given a broken down Microstation file to try to make sense of.  The lighting proved to be a bit of a pain since the GI just wasn't spreading the wealth like it should have.  Then again, working with 76 individual lights can't be a picnic.  I was afraid to up the multiplier on the lights anymore because it risked burning white spots into the wall.  In the end, I cheated it a bit by placing omni lights set not to reflect or cast shadows at each of the camera locations.  I kept the multiplier low, I really just wanted some extra environment light and a way to achieve it without windows in the room.  Hope you all enjoy!

It's been nearly a month since I updated and want to keep this portfolio up to date this time, unfortunately I didn't have much to put up.  I've been working on the next scene off and on, but have been spending a lot of time trying to teach myself ZBrush seeing as how it's practically become an industry standard.  You know, for companies outside of my own.  The interface is mind-boggling, but I'm finally starting to show some signs of progress.  I'll post some of that work whenever it's a bit more complete.  In the meantime, I have the alpha build of one of the buildings along the boardwalk in the Personal section, which is my own made up version of Pier 39 and the boardwalk at Put-In Bay, Ohio.

With a little bit of regret, I've said goodbye to my old page to make way for a very basic template.  My thoughts on this are that this way it will be much easier to update and I really don't have the time to dedicate to web design at the moment, currently drowning in a sea of other projects, work related or otherwise.  On the plus side, the fruits of my labor will be displayed here for your viewing enjoyment or dismay; I'm good with either.  The site needs a bit more of a professional tone, so I'll be refraining from blogging or putting personal information on here.  Those who know me well already know where to find such things, also tasks that I've had to put to the side to make way for portfolios.  For those of you just joining me, welcome and you can find a little bit more about myself and my work in the appropriately labeled link.  So for now, enjoy the browsing and please note that all feedback and criticism is welcome and will be read and considered, regardless of whether or not it is replied to.
